Unsettling glitchy electronic drones, warbles, and percussive thumps made from a mangled fluorescent bulb recording – genuinely horrible in the best possible way.

Royalty Free Horror Glitch Music

Corrupted has an origin story that is either impressive or disturbing depending on your relationship with fluorescent lighting. The primary source material is a recording of a fluorescent bulb turning on – that particular electrical ping and hum that most people find mildly irritating – which has then been mangled, processed, and arranged into something considerably more alarming. Glitchy drones warble and pulse with unsettling irregularity, random percussive thumps and bumps arrive without warning, and the overall texture is one of sustained, grinding unease that is genuinely difficult to shake. It is, as the original description cheerfully admits, really awful. This is a compliment.

Perfect For:

Designed for horror game soundtracks, found-footage style video content, and any project where an undertone of sustained, creeping wrongness is the goal. Works brilliantly for psychological horror content, disturbing ambient sequences, and sci-fi productions dealing with alien or corrupted technology. Also effective for art installation audio, experimental video work, and any creator who needs music that makes their audience genuinely uncomfortable without resorting to obvious horror conventions.
