Royalty Free Halloween Music: Spooky, Not Traumatising

This collection is for those moments in late October when your content needs to be unsettling enough to be fun, and not so unsettling that anyone writes in. A harpsichord has been involved.

You’ll find everything from playful graveyard waltzes that wouldn’t frighten a child, through to genuinely tense folk-horror textures for when the tone needs to darken. Most of this collection deliberately sits in the “spooky” register rather than the “horror” one — that’s where the overwhelming majority of Halloween content actually lives.

Halloween is a seasonal annuity for creators, and it ramps far earlier than people expect. Search interest starts climbing in August, which means the sensible time to find your music is roughly two months before you think you need it. These tracks are available now, licensed properly, and I’ll personally handle any claim that lands on your video.

      Perfect for creators crafting:

      • Halloween vlogs, party content and seasonal social posts
      • Spooky-season retail campaigns and advertising
      • Horror-adjacent game development that isn’t trying to traumatise
      • Children’s Halloween material where fun rather matters
      • Tabletop RPG haunted-house and dungeon sessions

      A Note on the Sound:

There is a church organ. Of course there’s a church organ. There are also bells, a theremin-adjacent wail or two, and at least one harpsichord that should probably be looked at by a professional.

Halloween music is the pleasure of being frightened on purpose – theatrical rather than genuinely disturbing, which is precisely the point. When you need pure texture instead of melody, my sound design collection supplies the creaks and drones, whilst the gaming tracks cover interactive tension. For the moment the monster actually arrives, the epic collection has considerably more brass.

All tracks in this collection are released under Creative Commons BY 4.0. New to CC licensing? My comprehensive guide explains everything you need to know about using this music in your projects.

      Bite-Sized Bangers: TikTok Music

I’ve assembled this collection for creators who understand that in the realm of TikTok, every millisecond must sparkle rather like a particularly enthusiastic disco ball. These tracks have been precision-engineered for that curious space where 15 seconds needs to feel simultaneously like a lifetime and a rather delightful accident.

I’ve curated this collection for those seasonal moments when tradition requires rather specific musical accompaniment. It’s fresh as snow, but as familiar as an old pair of slippers. Now whip out the holly bush!
