There is something deeply satisfying about a piece of music that knows exactly what it is and commits to it entirely. Frosty Forest is a gentle chamber orchestral piece that conjures a very specific kind of winter woodland – not threatening exactly, but with enough mystery in the shadows to keep things interesting. Rich strings carry the main melodic weight with warmth and care, bouncing along in a way that feels both calming and gently animated, whilst a celesta adds its characteristic twinkly sparkle to the texture.
