Snowdrops takes its inspiration from the transitional moment between winter and spring – that particular quality of days that are still cold but carrying the first evidence of return. Solo piano opens with soft, deliberate gentleness, each note placed with the care of music exploring a fragile and precious emotional territory. Cellos join as the piece progresses, adding depth and richness that enhances the emotional impact without changing its essential quietness, and guitar harmonics arrive to add sparkling brightness and a touch of hope.
