Pounding drums provide the rhythmic foundation with an energy that encourages movement, galloping guitars add harmonic drive, and fiddles and penny whistles carry the melody with the bright, ornamented style of Irish traditional music as you might hear it in a pub session on a very good night. Bodhran, bouzouki, and uilleann pipes complete the traditional instrumentation picture, and the overall effect is of music that makes it very difficult to remain stationary.
